The Girl Scouts is the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls, where in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adults, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives - like strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.

In the Girl Scouts, they discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together; and through the many enriching experiences provided by the Girl Scouts, they can grow courageous and strong.

Mission Statement

Girl Scouts of Reelfoot Council is committed to providing unique quality programs designed to inspire girls with the highest ideals of character, conduct, patriotism, and service that they may become happy and resourceful citizens.

Our beliefs and Principles further state:

That the motivating force in Girl Scouting is a spiritual one.
That the Girl Scout Movement shall ever be open to all girls and adults who accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
That the strength of the Girl Scout Movement rests in the voluntary leadership of its adult members, in the cooperation and support of the community, and in the affiliation with Girl Guide and Girl Scout Movements of other countries through the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
That the democratic way of life and the democratic process shall guide all our activities.
That the ultimate responsibility for the Girl Scout Movement rests with volunteers.
